This sweet ride makes a fun and unique retro-style wedding favor! The Just Married 'Print and Cut' Get-Away Car box opens at the back to store small candies or a gift card! Plus using your Silhouette Cameo saves you the time and hassle of hand cutting multiple boxes! Please read below for the assembly instructions, supplies and dimensions. DIMENSIONS
Each box is approximately 2.5" tall, 2" wide and 5.75" long.
SUPPLIES NEEDED
- Colour printer & ink
- Glue or tape
- White 8.5" by 11" Cardstock (65 lb)
- Silhouette Cameo & Mat
- Adhiesive foam dots or double-sided tape (for Sign)
Step1: Align the design in your Silhouette Studio software so that it fits inside your registration guides. Next print the design with the registration marks onto white card stock. Select 'card-stock' as the material in your cut settings, then load your cutting mat with your design into your Silhouette Cameo. Once cut, fold down the sides of the car and all the white tabs. Apply glue to all the white tabs along the hood of the car.
Step2: Align the glued tabs with the side of the car, taking care to match the curve of the hood. Hold until dry and then repeat this process for the other side of the car.
Step3: Next take the underside of the car panel and fold all 3 sides inwards. Apply glue to the small tabs off the side and fold them inwards to form a box. Once dry, apply glue to the outside of all sides.
Step4: Attach the underside of the car to the main car body. The wheels should overhang slightly. Hold until fully dry.
Step5: Apply glue to the extra fringe tab. Attach this extra fringe to the back of the 'Just Married' sign.
Step6: Apply adhesive dots or double-sided tape to the corners on the back of the sign.
Step7: Attach the sign to the back of the car.
Step8: Insert candies or a gift card. Close the hatch by sliding the white tab on the back of the car underneath the 2 blue tabs. Volia! You're ready to hit the road in style!
